Servant of the Lord

Let us find out what it means and takes to be a Servant of the Lord.

Servant of the Lord, the Hebrew ‘ebed, “slave,” “servant,” is used in very different senses in the Old Testament. In religious usage there are two different meanings.

1. The adorers of divinity the faithful of a god, are called his “s

Last Days

Ezezkiel 38:16 And you shall come up on My people Israel like a cloud, to cover the land. It shall be in the last days, and I will bring you against My land, so that the nations may know Me when I shall be sanctified in you, O Gog, before their eyes.

A Prayer of David (Psalm 86 edit)

Bow down Your ear, O Lord, hear me for I am poor and needy
Preserve my soul; O You my God, save Your servant who trusts in You.
Be merciful to me, O Lord; for I cry out to You daily.
Give joy to the soul of Your servant; for to You, O Lord, I lift up my soul.
For You, Lord, are good and ready to forgive, and rich in mercy to all those who call on You.

Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; and attend to the voice of my prayers.
In the day of my trouble I will call on You; for You will answer me.
Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; none are like Your works.
All nations whom You have made shall come and worship before You, O Lord, and shall glorify Your name.
For You are great and do wonderful things; You alone are God.

Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; my heart rejoices to fear Your name.
I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, and I will glorify Your name forevermore.
For great is Your mercy toward me; and You have delivered my soul from the lowest hell.

But You, O God, are God full of pity, and gracious, long-suffering, and rich in mercy and truth.
Oh turn to me, and have mercy on me; give Your strength……..

So much going on, isn't there? I've had several opportunities in the past several days, to open up some eyes. The latest info from Jerusalem, regarding the scroll the Jewish religious leadership gave Bush was just the thing Christians needed, who have not yet realized what has been going on. How exciting!

Act 2:18 And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
Act 2:19 And I will show wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke:
Act 2:20 The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:
Act 2:21 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Fraq17 - Glad to give you more information on the towers thing. I deleted my e-mail to Chris, as that entire period was a blur, I was almost overwhelmed, and I no doubt overwhelmed Chris, as well. OK, here goes. Now, I'm just going to walk you through the thought process that got me to the towers thing. You may disagree, or not. I do believe that the Lord wants all of us digging right now, and that surely it gives him great pleasure that we are not satisfied with what we have, and want more. First, I was re-reading a book I bought around seven years ago, describing the prophetic parallels the history of the US has with the history of ancient Israel. The author noted that the nation of Israel had 42 kings, from the time Saul was annointed, until the nation was taken into captivity by Babylon. He made the comment that perhaps Bill Clinton would be the last President of this particular epoch of American History, and the inauguration of George W. would begin another. Now, My mind is constantly going. I am ALWAYS trying to connect the dots. When I mentioned that, I began looking for other 42 patterns. It seems that there are several. I don't have my research in front of me, so please bear with me here. I think this is what I learned. There are 14 generations between Abraham and David, 14 generations between David and Babylon, and 14 generations between Babylon to Jesus. For a total of 42 generations. NOW, Jesus tells us that we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood. WE are the 43rd and last generation. AND this generation has run, unbroken ever since the day of Pentecost. That is why when Jesus said to his disciples at the Mountain of Transfiguration that THIS GENERATION will not pass away, until all these things be fufilled, he was absolutely speaking the truth. Although people through the years were confused by this, I think I'm seeing that He was speaking of HIS Church generation. Make sense? Sometimes I'm not so great at communicating, as too many things wash over me at once. I'll try to be clear. OK, if we are the last and 43rd generation, then when Jesus returns and is crowned, He will be the 43rd and last King of Israel. I promise you, I'm getting to the towers. I thought back to Bush. It made sense to me that Bush would be the 43rd and last president of our country, but I wanted some kind of confirmation that the whole 14-14-14 generation thing tied into it. Had something else happened as these dispensations ended? Well, yes. Abraham was a contemporary of Nimrod, and moved himself out of the whole Babel system. When it became clear that the inhabitants of this city were determined to build their tower to the heavens, in order to again connect with the fallen angels that had been the cause of the flood, the TOWER was destroyed. On the heels of this destruction, God called out Abraham, and formed in him a new nation. The next dispensation, we know occured at the inauguration of the church, at Jesus' first advent. Shortly after the Church began it's mission, The Temple, along with the Two pillars (revered, by the way by the Illuminati, and written about extensively by them), was destroyed. Now, I asked myself, did the pattern repeat itself? Why, yes. In the same year George W was inaugurated, the Twin Towers fell. Frank, in one of his podcasts goes into the symbolism of the towers, and all of the Illuminati shadows you find there. Amazing stuff. Side note - I am amazed at how God is using each part of the church to lift up and share with one another. Where was I? OH yeah...so, I realize that once again, we have significant destruction, unexpected destruction of symbols of the Babylonian system. Now, this is something that I realized several years ago. Again, you and your study may or may not agree with me. It seems that each dispensation naturally transitions into the next. There is not a sharp line of demarcation. Abraham was alive and saw the evil of Babel. It was only after a period of some years that Paul realized that the Church had begun the work of God, and that the Jewish nation no longer was being used. In the same way, it may be with the destruction of the twin towers, and George W's election that we have transitioned into the last epoch period in a very natural way, and we are in the very infant stages of the final 1000 years. I know this may seem far fetched, but believe me, I am not dogmatic. I'm just looking for truth. OK, once I looked back to 200l, and the time God has use WAKING up the church to the evil system enveloping our world, I wanted to know if there was something that might confirm the past seven years we've had, and the next seven years of tribulation, whenever that happens. That's when, while again reading Joseph's story, and realizing that the CUP bearer and BREAD maker (baker) were, had to be, in fact, types of the church. So, would this give me any kind of confirmation? If you'll take the time to read my blog about Joseph and the rapture (it's painful to read, as I am not an accomplished writer) you'll discover that the pattern repeats itself...14 years. Seven for preparation and seven for trial. So, have the years we've had since the twin towers fell, and God was gracious enough to wake up His church, been our years to gather in the bread, His word? I sure think so. One more thing. As I said in my blog (honestly, I have e-mailed so much recently, trying to explain myself, I don't know how I said this) there is not extra information in God's word that is not meant to be there, nor should we assume something that is not there. While the seven years of trial followed the Egyptians after Joseph gathered in the grain, it does not say that it immediately followed after. I don't know about you, but I always assumed that it was RIGHT after... but perhaps not. Oh, this is good! I'm just seeing this now. There HAD to be a period between gathering in and the onset of the famine. How do I know? Well, we have a growing season, and a harvesting season. It wouldn't have been until the next harvesting season, that the Egyptians would have found themselves in a famine... as they wouldn't have RECOGNIZED it, until they began the harvest. Listen, I hope I haven't said too much here, but I want to be clear. Do me a favor... read my blog on Joseph and the rapture, and another on the Wise Men. Trust me, there'll be a reward in Heaven for you, if you'll slog your way through my writing. I remain, In prayer for you, and for your Bible Study. - Cindy
