Rapture True or False?

Added a post Oct 21 2007

The actual word "Rapture" doesn't appear in recorded scripture, but the concept is clearly indicated. The word 'Rapture' implies a 'catching up', or catching away'. The idea was taken from a passag... Read More »

GODS KINGDOM: Earthly or Heavenly?

I have followed, with heightened interest, the expressed efforts of various religious leaders, and religious establishments to bring upon the earth (or at least in our country) God's Kingdom. The idea is to gain control of the political government(s) through 'civil legislation'. This, of course, would enable the enforcement of moral laws by civil mandate. Perhaps the objective is to 'bring the nation back to God'.

Of course, that would mean that God's kingdom would be established throu…

Hello Friends,

Just to let you know I have now completed my 8th book with one more pending within the next four months or so. I invite you to visit Davenport Literary Works to check out my publications which include:

Because Love - Includes a special "expose" dedicated specifically to married couples about the importance and application of intimacy in marriage.

Azusa Revisited - Takes a look at the famous Azusa outpouring, its association with the early church as well as its application to us today. This book is for those that are seriously hungry for God.

Ministry of Financial Healing - If you have more month left over at the end of your money; and if the food and gas prices are getting you down, you need financial healing.

These are just a few of the titles that are currently available.

As always, thank you for permitting us to minister into your life.

I'm amazed at how deep in a stupor we as a nation seem to be when it comes to our prophetic destiny.  It is as though we have lost touch with our past and have no understanding of presence, and have the foggiest idea of our destiny.  So, I've decided to call attention to at least one aspect of our national past, and remind my readers that our founding fathers were divinely prudent to put in place the first amendment of our nation's Constitution.   For those of you who may have forgotten it, or who have no concept of what it says, I would like to quote at least a portion of it: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof....."Without doubt, it wasn't intended that the Church and State would be uniting as they have been attempting so hard to do lately. Is it constitutionally appropriate that our government officials should be involving themselves in ecumenical issues?  If we are to have the Dark Ages revisited, then we must simply sit by and watch, or simply ignore what's happening right before our eyes. (That is if we can get our eyes of of 'Dancing with the Stars', Jerry Springer, Oprah Winfrey and The Simsons)   Are we really that ignorant? Or, does it really matter?  Should you keep slumbering, your awakening will surely be a rude one, and horrifying at the very least.  Our destiny is being defined by how we respond to the present.  I'll leave you a prophetic quote: "Let the principle once be established in the United States that the church may employ or control the power of the state:  that religious observances may be enforced by secular laws:  in short, that the authority of church and state is to dominate the conscience, and the triumph of Rome in this country is assured."   - The Great Controversy  p. 581

There is much discussion about the 'beasts' of Revelation and even more confusion about what these beasts actually represent. I've heard everything from 'the beast' being certain personalities to some computer in Belgium, etc. What I'm mostly interested is hearing from someone about the beast in Revelation Chapter 13 with the "...
two horns like a lamb. (Rev 13:11) Quite obviously, it is THIS beast that enforces the 'mark of the beast', etc. It is THIS beast that has the power to enforce a death penalty upon dessenters. So, I guess it's imperative that we correctly understand what this beast represents. I am very interested to hearing from anyone who would like to examine this passage. I'm sure there are lots of interesting interpretations. I believe a right understanding is going to be crucial in our ability to escape the terrible crisis that's rapidly coming upon the people of this world. It would be wonderful to hear from someone on this issue.

Hi Brother Jim,
I saw your reply to a discussion on Catholic's praying to saints.
I wanted to say hello, welcome you to Faithspeak, and ask if I could have the privilege of being one of the first on your friends list.

God bless you brother... Delete Comment
